1. Introduction

This privacy policy describes how SwiftShip Previews ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our desktop application and website at swiftship.dev. SwiftShip Previews is operated under the jurisdiction of the United Arab Emirates.

2. How the app works

SwiftShip Previews is a desktop application that helps you create App Store preview videos from iPhone and iPad screen recordings. The app runs entirely locally on your Mac. Your screen recordings, video clips, audio files, and any media you import are processed on your device only. No video, audio, or visual content is ever uploaded to our servers, transmitted over the internet, or shared with any third party.

All video processing, trimming, audio mixing, and export operations happen locally using your Mac's native frameworks. The app does not require an internet connection to generate preview videos.

3. Data we collect

3.1 Purchase data

When you purchase a license, we collect your name, email address, and payment information through our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy). We do not store your credit card details. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing securely.

3.2 License data

We store your license key, its activation status, and a device identifier (bound on first activation) to enforce our one-device-per-license policy. This data is held by Lemon Squeezy for license validation purposes.

3.3 No media data

To be explicit: we do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any video clips, screen recordings, audio files, logos, or media you use within SwiftShip Previews. All processing happens locally on your Mac and the resulting preview video is saved to your local device only.

3.4 Anonymous usage data

The app does not currently include analytics or telemetry. If we add anonymous usage analytics in future versions, it will be opt-in and clearly disclosed.

4. GDPR compliance

SwiftShip Previews is GDPR compliant. Since all video and audio processing runs entirely on-device with no data transmission, no personal media content is processed by our servers. You may request deletion of your purchase data at any time by emailing ayoub@swiftship.dev.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only exception is Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor, which receives the information necessary to process your purchase and manage your license.

6. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's privacy

SwiftShip Previews is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app or website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
